Introduction
Cold-eye is a hostile first-reader pass on anything that has shipped, is deemed done, or is ready to ship. It is a skill: an agent reads it and writes a critique of what a stranger still has to invent.
You were in the room. The file looks finished. Locally coherent files can still fail as one product.
npm coldeye. Site coldeye.dev. Sibling of Detangler and aiBreze.
Scope
The gate is the claim: done, or ready. A skill, a spec, a page, a package, a site, a repo: examples, not a closed set. A direction you might still change is out of scope.
Read, then write the critique
The skill writes <name>.cold-eye.md next to a file, or cold-eye.md at a system root. Verdict, ranked findings, what to cut, what to protect.
| Verdict | Means |
|---|---|
| holds | A cold reader can run the job |
| close | A few puts would close the gap |
| fails a hostile read | Too much still has to be invented |
It does not rewrite the subject unless you asked.
