Cold-eye is a hostile first-reader pass on anything that has shipped, is deemed done, or is ready to ship. It is a skill: an agent reads it and writes a critique. A skill, a spec, a site, a package, a repo: examples, not a closed set. The gate is the claim.

What you get
The skill writes a critique file. Verdict first, then a ranked list.

A repo, a package, or a site may get a split verdict: the card as a card, the files as a system.
Nothing in the subject changes. The critique is a to-do list you take to a rewrite.
What it checks
Ten tests, in order. Rank by what a stranger hits first.
- Pitch or procedure? Stages are not an hour.
- What still has to be invented? Schema, filenames, write-back, done-looks-like.
- Does it match the system? File against file. What ships against what the page says.
- Invisible steps. A claimed check whose command is missing.
- Thin references. Definitions with no worked example and no do-not-emit.
- Sibling mix. Discovery copy that would fire on another job.
- Copied law. The same rules restated until they drift.
- Maintainer notes on a buyer page.
- Papered bugs. The procedure says write X; the tool destroys X.
- No close. The hour never ends.
Not a line editor
Leave the sentences. Cheerleading and unfinished plans are a different hour.

Install
The skill is a folder. Download cold-eye.zip, put it in .cursor/skills/cold-eye/ (or upload the zip on claude.ai), and ask for a hostile read of what you shipped.
If you already use npm:
pnpm add -D coldeye
Then copy the cold-eye folder out of node_modules.
